Why Are DNS Search Sites Used?

A reverse DNS (domain name server) search is comparable to a reverse phone search in that it was made to uncover information linked to several numbers. Yet, unlike a reverse phone lookup that searches a telephone number, a DNS lookup that is reveres runs a search using an IP address.

An IP (internet protocol) address is a computer's numeric address (I.E. 1.127.240.18) that's converted into a domain name (I.E. Google.com) by a domain name server.
